The Center for Global Leadership in Sustainability in the School of Business Administration at Portland State University is pleased to announce the 6th annual International Conference on Business & Sustainability. This year’s conference will be held November 7, 8 and 9, 2012 in Portland, Oregon, USA. This unique conference brings together sustainable economy thought leaders and educators, and includes both practitioner and academic forums.
2012 Conference Theme: Scalability
What does sustainable business development look like as the world population expands? How are business leaders and social entrepreneurs tackling the world’s most pressing problems? Which new models and innovations have the potential to make the biggest social, environmental and ethical impacts and how do we bring them to scale? A world population of seven billion has new implications for economic development, corporate social responsibility and environmental stewardship. Global challenges like energy, climate change, water, health, transportation, housing, and food are inspiring new approaches from start-ups to global firms. The 2012 International Conference on Business and Sustainability will explore scalability as a business imperative for a healthy economy, society and planet.
